The 2001 "45" album

The third big album of original material released under the BRC title is of course the recent 45 album. The title either harkens back to the days when Beatles singles on 45-rpm records dominated the charts or simply refers to the number of cuts on the album—or to both. But in any case the sound is far from nostalgic. 45 includes what many consider the strongest work of McCartney, Harrison and Starr since the early 1970s, as well as the last songs Lennon produced, which were unearthed after the 1982 Moondogs quasi-tribute album.
