Picking a winner was not difficult. Only one entrant identified all five authors correctly. The most common mistake was in misidentifying the woman author (#5) as Jane Austen.

The correct lineup was given by Philip Lo of Vancouver who receives a copy of George Eliot's Middlemarch as a prize.
